It had been three days since she arrived and the more time she spend with Noah the more she fall in love with him. One day after they (Allie and Noah) woke up; after a night of alcohol and good dinner, while Allie starts doing the dishes someone knocks on the door. Both of them were curious abo

When Noah opened the door he was surprised to see a woman in her 40's well dressed, it was Allie's mom, Noah asks her to come in and when Allie her that her mom was there she broke the glass she was washing. Moments later them three sit on the living room and talk about Allie's marriage, her mom tells her to do whatever her heart tells her to, she says sorry to Noah for hiding all those letters he wrote to her for the past 14 years, " I just wanted the best for her". Her mom leaves telling Allie that she respects her decision and that no matter what she did, she loved her.
Allie then tells Noah that she has to go because she loves Lon too, and since he has been such a great gentleman with her, she couldn't do this to him. Noah begs to her asking her to not go away form him again, and that he loves her more than anyone else, but even though it was hard for both of them, she decided to leave and live Noah alone once again.

The second time Allie and Noah see each other was totally different than the first one. They decide to expend lunch together then go for a ride across a lake near Noah's house in a canoe; they did this all the time when they were younger, she enjoyed the sunset while riding; and here she was once again. Hours later they had to come back to Noah's because of the hard rain that came upon them. There he started a fire and he made hot tea for both of them, but Allie insisted in getting something stronger (wine).
While back at Allie's home, Lon was worried that she hadn't called to tell him how she was doing with her "shopping." He had called four times and never found her. In this chapter Lon realizes that Allie is a very important person to her and that he really loved her, even though his work usually didn't gave him enough time to expend with her.
Back at Noah's house them two were setting close to each other near the fire talking about their old lives and how they loved each other so much and how they still do. At this date they kissed again after 14 years and Allie forgets that she is engaged and that she soon has to go back to reality.

After a long time walking Allie decides that its time for Noah to know what she is really here for, and tells him that she is engaged, this was a big surprised to him it was like if all the dreams he had had with her were now impossible to reach, after two seconds he congratulated her and this conversation kept on going. He then invites her to stay for dinner. Since she supposed to be her to find antiques, or at least that was what she told Lon and she told her that she wasn't going to be back in a couple of days. She accepts the invitation and together they cook dinner, this time that they were expending together made her realize that she does still in love with Noah too. It was probably the reason that her parents wanted someone well known in the society, that would give a great life to their daughter; Noah could do this also, but somehow he wasn't seen at the same level as they wanted him to be.

On the first chapters it talks about Noah Calhoun and Allie Nelson's relationship, a couple that dated when they where teenagers. Now Allie is engaged to Lon a wealthy lawyer that is well know by many people. Noah still single and still loves Allie.
Allie decides to go and see know after years of no see him to tell him that she is getting married soon, even though she doesn't seem to be sure of her decision. When she sees Noah again she felt the same way like when she was only a teenager and was dating him. He was confused at first to see her after a long time and thought that probably she was coming back to tell him that she couldn't stop thinking about him just like he did, but unfortunately her reason for being there was a different one, she was coming to tell him that anything that had to do with them was over. She did not said it right away when she saw him, even though she though that she should be happy and excited to tell him, but it seem like the hardest thing to do. After chatting for a while Noah asked him to go for a walk just like when they were dating.

While John enjoys every single minute with Savannah, he know that sooner or later he will have to go back to the military. He know that this would be a hard moment; because of both of them falling in Love with each other. Savannah doesn't know when he is living yet, but in my opinion this will be really hard for both of them. John explains how he had never had this kind of feeling with any other girl before like he is having towards Savannah.And how he wished that he had never joined the military and instead go to college and be just like any other normal college guy.

hat Savannah and her other peers built, there they started talking more about their lives, when John asked Savannah if she had ever been in love her answer surprised him, she told him about her first college years; she dated the most popular senior in this college, he tried to abuse of her and no one tried to help her because she had been worn about him, but she never listen. Since then she said she hasn't given herself a chance with anybody else. After this John tells her how much she meant to him and how in only a couple of days he had fallen in love with her. She says that she is in love also and they kiss for the first time.

After hanging out for a while John asked Savannah about where she wanted to go for dinner, she insisted on going to John's house to meet his father; since she was curious to meet him. John was surprised that Savannah and his dad actually talk to each other, maybe even more that he had since he arrived from the military. They talked about the coin collection he had and how much it meant to him. Both seem to like each other. Savannah then later asks him to meet her parent too. She says to John that his dad is a wonderful person and that he did a wonderful job raising him.

A day after his date with Savannah he decides to make dinner for himself and his dad. Its weird how they can't ever have a conversation, it seems like his dad is the kind of person that doesn't like to share memories for the past or even explain things that already happened. While eating John asks him about his mother, this was the first time he asked him this in years, since she'd never had been part of his life, the answer that his father gave him was short; John knew that he didn't wanted to talk about his wife because of how he changed the conversation every time he could.

It has been two days since John arrived and he realizes that he hasn't expend any time with his dad, and has been hanging out with Savanna instead. John invites Savanna out to dinner and he asks his dad to borrow his car; his dad doesn't complain and gives him the keys. At their date they get to know each other more. He discovers that Savanna comes from a wealthy family and that she is not the kind of girl that likes to get drunk in every single party and be the center of attention. After this date John knows that what he feels for this girl is not something that he has felt before...he is falling in love.
